How was my Penang trip after exam? Well, everything was okay except for some surprises which i don't really enjoyed. Basiccally, it was non of my business but somehow i have already expected it to happen long time ago. Sometimes i'm really impressed with my sixth sense ability. Most of the things that i predicted surely will be granted. Maybe i can read people's mind and body language that make my predictions being so true.
My journey to Penang starts with an early morning drive just because to pick up Kak Ivy at Setapak. No matter how early we moved from Klang, we still get caught in the jam after picking up Ivy from her condo while heading to sg buloh toll. Along the journey to Penang, we pit stop at a few R&R, had our breakfast, and continued our journey to Penang. We arrived at Penang toll at about 12.15 and basically Ivy is our tour guide at Penang but i can say she is not that familiar with Penang roads, we got lost a few times and she had to contact others to get the correct way. All of us was not expecting this too. But luckily we did bring GPS along.
So we actually stayed at Aurora Court for 3 days and 2 nights for only rm 25 per person. I would say this apartment is affordable and well-equipped. It is quite clean and comfortable. It has free wifi, air-conditioned, heater, kettle, tv, sofa, dining table,2 toilet, 2 bedrooms with cupboards, make up table, and security box. One problem with this apartment is there is alot of mosquittos but after spraying some shieldtox, it was okay. The first day, we did not visited anywhere because our friends arriveing late, so v just went makan whole day. I ate the Phua Chu Kang Cendol, asam laksa, some lobak for lunch, and curry mee for dinner.The cendol was so-so cannot beat Malacca one for sure. Asam laksa was bomb, the soup is really delicious and pekat with lots of fish chunks. Then supper, we went to Gurney drive and i had sotong with kangkung. Went back after that, and watch my friends drink.
Second day started off with breakfast at hawker stalls, and we all bought Magnum. Me and darling bought 2198 his car number, 1328 our apartment and one lucky number. Apparently 2198 and d lucky number is close to winning lah. 2198 actually open at d next day but v did not buy also. Then we went visiting sleeping buddha temple, standing buddha temple and also kek lok si temple. After kek lok si, we went padang brown fields for lunch. The food there was nice, char kuey teow, tomyam mihun, cendol with gula melaka, intestine soup and passembur. Then for dinner, we ate Nasi Beratur which is nasi kandar, after dinner we head to batu feringgi to buy DVDs and jerseys and i ate ba li tong for supper. Night ended up by friends drinking at apartment again before sleeps.
Third day we woke a bit late and checked out at 11.30. One of our friends, Jym had to catch up with bus so he did not follow us for breakfast and also to Ipoh. Pity him alot. Okay, so we had heavy breakfast cum lunch, where we ate rice, curry fish pari, pork, babi butan, vege and la la. The food is not bad, up to standard and some dishes taste really well. This stall is also near to nasi beratur but i do not know where is it still. Then we head to Queensbay mall which known as d largest and newest shopping mall in Penang. I bought one blouse from padini but sadly, i left it there and i only realized it when i reached home. My shirt has left me all alone in Penang. God, i was so sad but i cannot do anything though so i just keep it in my heart. We left Queensbay at 3.30p.m and head to Ipoh for its famous salty chicken and Ipoh chicken rice. We ate at low Wong chicken rice if i'm not mistaken and bought the chicken from the famous salty chicken stall at the corner of the road which painted with red and white paints. When we arrived, they only have 6 chickens left to sell and without hesitating, me and dear bought 2, and the rest grabbed by my friends lah.
After dinner, we head back to Klang again, and all of us is actively talking in the car to keep my dear awake while driving. Stop once at pit stop for toilet break and also to change driver because my dear is really tired of driving the whole day already. Then we reached klang at 9.30p.m but gotta fetch wei long back to his house first which is at pandamaran, then kar keat and lastly jonathan. Pity Jonathan also because he had to sacrificed himself and he cannot go back home to rest because of Huat's last minute decision again.
